Terms of Hire
Below please see our terms and conditions of hire together with General guide lines for use.
When Booking online you are abiding to these terms and condition at all time
please do not book anything if you do not agree to the terms set out below thank you.
For both your safety and enjoyment, it is important that you both read and understand them.
Please note that delivery and collection times are approximate depending on circumstances which may sometimes be out of our control Delivery time are 8am -1pm . We make every effort to ensure that we get to you before the party time starts but sorry we can't Guarantee this So please be aware Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
Please make sure someone over the age of 18 yrs will be in from 7am - 1pm to except delivery of your item (excludes hall hires) if no one is there when the the delivery driver arrive he can only wait 5 mins so you could lost your delivery slot and wait to the end of his run to receive your castle which could make it late for your party.
If you require a specific time for hall hire please let us know.

Hire will only be agreed with responsible person over the age of 18.
ALL booking fees paid are non refundable, and non transferable. Should a cancellation be made however,
No further charges would be levied if the cancellation is made 14 days in advance of the booking date.
If cancelled after this time full payment will be due,
The Full balance of hire costs to be paid, before commencing use of the unit. No exceptions to this rule.
Cash only, if payment is to be made on delivery.
If you accept goods on the day and then decide that due,
to adverse weather conditions or change of mind you will not require use of them
you will not be entitled to a refund of any monies paid.
All Cancellation must be made by phone and email ( lee@islandinflatables.co.uk ) before the date of hire or full payment will have to be paid if left to the day of hire.
including if you have booked online and no booking fee is paid.
Please note it is the responsibility of the hire to make sure the castle fit in the area if the driver delivers the castle and it does not fit in your space full payment is still due and no refunds are given if unsure please call us on 01206 385205.
The hires will be liable for all repair or replacement costs in connection with any abuse or misuse of the unit hired.
You must understand that shower covers will only hold off light showers of rain.
Under no circumstances must any inflatable unit be removed from its secured position without prior knowledge of Island Inflatables.
The hirer must agree that the area where the goods are to be situated will be free from toys,
swings etc.
and that there is no dog foul where the unit is to be sited, before our drivers arrive.
The hirer must agree to make sure units are ready for collection at the agreed time.
Any units not available for collection may be subject to a surcharge being levied.
The hirer, will be responsible for ensuring that the unit is clean upon collection.
Mild soapy water should be used to remove any dirt that has accumulated.
IMPORTANT
Whilst every endeavor will be made to supply castles booked, we cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control, which deems it impossible to supply exact goods ordered.
In all circumstances whereby a specific style of unit is unavailable an upgraded unit will be offered at no extra charge, or a full refund of all monies paid.
We cannot be held responsible if the unit you have booked does not fit on delivery and you will be charged the full hire price. Please check height required, as well as ground area. – ( some halls have low ceilings,
and gardens should be free of overhanging trees or sharp bushes). For large items such a Mega slides and Large obstacles courses / Castles access needs to be made directly to site. These items cannot be wheeled around so can only be situated at the point of vehicle access.
We cannot be held responsible for limited use or cancellation due to adverse weather condition.
Suitable surfaces - We are only able to put bouncy castles on grass outdoors. We are not able to put them on artificial grass or astro-turf unless we can bang the peg to the ground which will leave holes in the artifcial grass / astro turt we do not accept any liability for the damage if asked to do this , driveways, car parks, or any surface when we are unable to put them anchor stakes securely in the ground in accordance with BS EN 14960:2019 The pegs are 16mm in diameter and 380mm in length. If the bouncy castle or inflatable is going indoors then we can put it on a wide range of surfaces. If under sure please call the office on 01206385205 before booking any castle if you book a castle without understanding this no refunds are given thank you.
Refunds will not be given.
All units will be run using your own 240v electricity supply. We supply 25m of cable as standard.
Extra extension leads may be booked if the distance is more than 25m, but the max. distance for a unit to be located from the power is 50m as the unit may be soft if not placed near to an electricity source.
We cannot be held responsible, nor give any refunds, should your power supply be interrupted through fault of your power provided. No refunds will be given.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
For the safety and enjoyment of the users, it is vitally important that the following guidelines be strictly adhered too.
An adult should remain in attendance at all times.
Ensure that children remove shoes, and any sharp objects, such as badges or combs before use.
Spectacles are best removed.
No food or drinks allowed on the unit.
No smoking on or near the unit.
No B B Q’s to be lit near the unit.
No Fireworks to be lit near the unit
No Pets are allowed on the unit.
No one taller than the outside wall to use the unit. Recommended age guidelines to be strictly adhered too.
Please do not allow children to run around the unit, nor to switch off the unit at the mains whilst others are using the unit. They may find this fun but it is potentially very dangerous.
Do not allow children to climb up, or hang off of the sides of the unit. Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front step of the unit.
Persons with back or neck problems are strongly advised not to use the unit
Use of silly string, face paints,colour powder and party poppers is strictly prohibited. Cost of removal or replacement cost will be borne by the hirer if used on any unit.
Never allow the unit to become overcrowded. It is safer to match children into age ranges in order to minimize the risk of someone getting hurt.
Never allow children to climb up or to sit on the walls.
Do not allow children over the recommended age guide to use any equipment.
Please check age suitability before hiring equipment.
If the unit is being used at a public event it is recommended that perimeter fencing for crowd control be used. This can be supplied if pre-booked. We also recommend a minimum of 2 attendants per unit
In the event of rain, it is advised that you keep the unit running, but please ensure all electrical goods are covered. Towel dry the step areas before recommencing use, to avoid children slipping. In the case of high winds more than 22mph, discontinue use immediately and contact our office for advice.

Terms & Conditions
SOFTPLAY BUS/ GAMING BUS HIRE
When you book a party/event with Island Inflatables you are agreeing with our terms and conditions.
Payment/deposit and cancellations
- A booking fee is required to secure your chosen date and time slot for your party/event.
- The remaining balance is required to be paid in full no later than 3 days before your party/event.
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, or via the payment link on your invoice.
- Any cancellation request must be received at least 14 days by email before your agreed hire date. Refunds will be returned to you excluding the booking fee if paid in full.
Vehicle access
- Our buses are 10 meters/33 foot long and 2.4 meters/8 foot wide with a height of 4.42 meters/14 foot 6 inches tall so adequate access is required
- A minimum of 3 car lengths needs to be available at your chosen location, to ensure we can park safety on site.
- There cannot be any low hanging trees near these spaces to avoid damaging the roof or sides of the bus. If you are unsure please contact us for advice.
Taking our Vehicles off the Public Highway
- if you ask us to park our buses on your private driveway, Island Inflatables will NOT be held liable for any damages caused as 90% of driveways are not designed to take the weight of a Double Decker Bus, i.e. Block paving, Manhole covers etc.
- Venue parking, please check at your venue that a 10 meter long and 2.5 meter wide vehicle can turn in the gate of your chosen venue and that the hard standing is suitable for commercial vehicles i.e. fire engines, dustcarts etc. please play attention to Manhole covers i.e. plastic ones. Island Inflatables will NOT be held liable for damages caused. Charges or repair bills will be at the direct cost to the hirer.
Parking tickets
- It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that they obtain the necessary parking permits and authorization for the bus to park if required.
- Island Inflatables accept no responsibility for any penalties issued when parking the bus in a space where we have be directed to park by the hirer.
- Any parking tickets and enforcement notices issued to our bus under these circumstances must be paid for by the hirer.
Vehicle breakdown
- Our bus is maintained to a high standard and serviced every 6 weeks, however break down can happen, if this does happen we will do are very best to get it back up and running as soon as possible and endeavor to still get to you on your chosen day.
- If this is not possible we will offer you a full refund or arrange another date and time for your party/event.
Poor Weather condition
- There may be times when extreme weather condition like heavy snow, freezing condition or flooding that can make it unsafe for us to attend your hire/party or event , if we make the decision to withdraw from your hire/party or event due to these reason, we will offer a refund but this will exclude the booking fee, we may as a company allow you to move your deposit to another date up to 12 months from your hire date.
Highway restriction
- Island Inflatables cannot be held liable for a delay in reaching your chosen location due to emergency road work or any other hazards on the highway which may cause us delays. We will keep you the hirer informed if this does happen and will make up loss of time, leaving later so that you still have your agreed amount of time for your event/party.
Food & Drink
- Food and drinks cannot be consumed on the soft play or gaming bus, drinks can only be consumed in the designated area at the front of the bus near the drivers cab area. Food and drink cannot be taken into the play area of the soft play or gaming bus.
- Chewing gum is forbidden at all times on any of our buses vehicles or equipment.
Clothing and footwear
- Children/Adults are not allowed to wear shoes of any type inside the play area at any time, a shoe rack is provided at the front of the bus for the children/Adults to store their foot wear.
- It is your responsibility as the hirer to ensure that all the children attending the party/event are told that they must bring socks, and that socks must be worn at all times.
- We advise that trousers are worn to reduce the risk of friction burns from the slide and equipment.
- You the hirer must ensure that all members of the group have removed all jewellery, badges, or other sharp objects to reduce the risk of injury.
Rules of play
- The soft play bus is suitable for up to 15 children to play at any one time.
- The care and supervision of the children using the bus are at all times the responsibility of you the hirer, parents/careers.
- We require a minimum of two adults from you the hirer to supervise the children at all times.
- A member of staff from Island Inflatables will be there to oversee the running of the event/party and to operate and manage the vehicle.
- No person must approach the vehicle until it has parked safely and the driver has opened the main doors.
- The bus does not have a toilet facilities on board, so please ensure that your chosen venue has toilets available and that your supervising adults can assist the children.
- Any damage caused to the vehicle or property belonging to Island Inflatables inside or outside by any member of the hirer's group will be the responsibility of you the hirer.
- You the hirer will be liable for any cost of repair if requested to do so.
- All children must respect each other and play nicely any child to be seen jeopardizing the safety or enjoyment of others or that of the vehicle will be ask to leave the vehicle.
- Verbal or physical abuse towards any staff member will not be tolerated.
- You the hirer are asked to ensure that all member of you group leave the vehicle promptly at the end of your allocated time slot.
- All children and adult's participate at their own risk. Island Inflatables do not accept liability for any loss or injury caused through misuse of the equipment or lack of parental/guardian supervision or a failure to comply with Island Inflatables terms and conditions.
